It acts as a competitive antagonist of histamine H2 receptors, reducing gastric acid secretion. Indicated for the treatment of gastritis, gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, esophagitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, drug-induced gastritis, or any condition requiring effective control of gastric acid secretion.
DOSE:
Canines and Felines:
0.5 to 1.0 ml for every 5 to 10 kg of weight (2 to 4 mg per kg of weight), depending on the severity of the case.
